Organization

  • Format: the workshop will last 2 hours. 6-8 contributions will be selected and briefly presented. The idea is that authors give a short introduction of the key aspects they want to stress, leaving time for a open discussion with workshop participants.
  • Selection process:  All the contributions will be reviewed at least by two members of the program committee and by one of the workshop chairs. Workshop contributions will be judged on the basis of relevance, originality, research significance, technical quality, organization and readability.
  • Expected audience: games based learning researchers, stakeholders, practitioners, users.
  • Anticipated outcome: A special issue of a TEL journal is being negotiated (to be confirmed).

Important Dates

    Deadline:  proposals deadlines will be in accordance with the ICALT deadlines.
  •  Deadline for workshop contributions: February 15, 2012, Extended to February 21, 2012
  •  Notification of acceptance of Workshops' papers: March 5, 2012  
  •  Authors' Registration Deadline: March 15, 2012 
  •  Camera-Ready paper (up to 2 pages): April 1, 2012

How to submit papers

In order to submit a paper to the workshop you should send your contribution by email to Francesco Belloti (sg.icalt@gmail.com) with copy (CC) to icalt2012@e-ucm.es. We will confirm you if your paper has been received correctly.

Author Guidelines

Contribution for the workshop are limited to two pages. All contributions accepted to the workshop will be publised in the ICALT 2012 official proceedings (with this limit of 2 pages per contribution).

The above page limits include authors' information, abstract (no more than 200 words), all tables, figures, references, etc.

Important Note:  Authors' information should be included ONLY in the camera-ready version of the manuscript and NOT in the initial version. However, during the preparation of the initial manuscript, authors' should leave a number of empty lines at the beginning of the manuscript, so as to include authors' information during the camera-ready manuscript submission

Authors are required to follow: IEEE Conference Publishing Services Formatting Guidelines

The authors of accepted papers will be required to complete a copyright form at the time of camera-ready manuscript submission.

Manuscripts should be submitted in Word or RTF file formats. In case, authors are using Latex, PDF files are acceptable if they are formatted based on IEEE Conference Publishing Services Formatting Guidelines
